The shelter always has a high number of bully breeds. Staff is constantly socializing them and teaching basic commands and manners. Many would make great pets. If you’ve considered adding a bully breed to your household, please consider adopting a fully-vetted, pre-screened shelter bully!

CCA Meals

Body
CCA’s “Meals on Wheels,” located in the Civic Center, serves frozen congregate meals or frozen meals to the homebound. Please call 979-743-4036 two weeks in advance for the meals, which will be delivered to the homebound or may be picked up at the center on Mondays.

Texas Exes set food drive

The Fayette County Texas Exes are having a food drive to support the Schulenburg Area Food Pantry. Nonperishable food items can be dropped off from Friday, Feb.

St. Rose Altar Society holds meeting on Jan. 22

The St. Rose Altar Society held its monthly meeting on Monday Jan. 22 in the meeting room of the Family Life Center. President Ann Florus called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and led the prayer and pledge of allegiance. The minutes were approved as read by Sheila Brossmann.

Stanzel Family Foundation awards grant to Habitat

The Stanzel Family Foundation continues its commitment to fostering community well-being by providing support to the Colorado County Habitat for Humanity. A grant from the Stanzel Family Foundation will specifically aid the organization’s critical home repair program in Weimar, addressing the urgent needs of individuals and families in the community.
