Shorthorns resume play after open week with trip to Ganado on Friday

After the open date on their schedule, the Shorthorns will travel to Ganado this Friday, Oct. 17 for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.The 6-1 Indians stayed undefeated in Class 2A Division I District 15 with a 49-8 win over Weimar last week. They also defeated Flatonia (46-0) and Kenedy (33-27) in district play.

Lady Horns follow up four-set loss to Lady ’Dogs with sweep of Louise

Strong finishes in two of the four sets last Tuesday in Flatonia enabled the Lady Bulldogs to defeat the Lady Horns 3-1.Schulenburg led 22-21 in the first set on Greenli Van Zandt’s third kill but Flatonia setter Summer Sodek followed up a wellplaced pass over the net with an ace.
