High school students are being encouraged by Fayette Electric Cooperative to apply for a slot on the Government-in-Action Youth Tour. The Youth Tour is an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C., June 17-26, 2020, sponsored by Fayette Electric and organized by Texas Electric Cooperatives.
Application deadline in FEC’s contest to win a ticket for this adventure, which has been called the trip of a lifetime, is Tuesday, Dec. 17
Youth Tour is an action-packed trip to the U.S. capital with over 150 peers and chaperones from across Texas. Participants will visit the Washington National Cathedral, Arlington National Cemetery, Mount Vernon, Smithsonian Institution, memorials and more. Activities include learning about rural electrification, seeing a performance at the Kennedy Center, going on a boat cruise with dinner and dancing, and meeting elected officials.

•Be in the 10th, 11th or 12th grade.
•Reside in the home of a parent or legal guardian who is a full-time resident within Fayette Electric Cooperative’s service territory;
•Submit an application by Dec. 17, 2019.
