Hallettsville Market Days
Hallettsville Market Days will be held on Saturday, Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hallettsville KC Hall (rain or shine). There will be a mix of indoor, covered pavilion and tree-lined shopping. Items include wood, metal and glass art; specialty food items; barbecue tools and knives; live plants; furniture and home décor; jewelry and purses; etc.

Community Thanksgiving Service will NOT be held
Due to increased state, county and local nursing home cases of COVID, the Schulenburg Ministerial Alliance has cancelled the community Thanksgiving service planned for Sunday, Nov. 22 at First Baptist Church. Those would like to give to the work of the Alliance for transients are asked to please give through a local church and pastor and/or treasurer.
St. Rose Cafeteria Pigs-in-a-Blanket Sale
The St. Rose School cafeteria is having its annual pigs-in-a-blanket sale. Orders are now being taken for $16 a dozen or $9 half dozen. Last day to order is Friday, Nov. 20. KCs Grilled ‘Moo & Cluck’ Dinner; Food Drive for SAFP
The Schulenburg Knights of Columbus will serve a drive-thru-only grilled “Moo & Cluck” dinner on Sunday, Nov. 22 starting at 10:30 a.m. at the KC Hall. The plates will cost $10 each and include grilled beef hamburger steak and chicken breast with brown gravy, vegetable/chicken flavored rice, cheesy broccoli/cauliflower and peaches.
In conjunction with the dinner, the KCs are holding a food drive for the Schulenburg Area Food Pantry. Those coming to buy plates are welcome to bring food items and/or cash donations for the Food Pantry, which will be added to the Knights of Columbus donation.
Thanksgiving Holiday
Most local businesses will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 26. Fayette County offices and City of Schulenburg staff will have holidays on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28 and 29. The Sticker will also be closed on Nov. 28 and 29.
Weimar KCs Chicken Fried Steak Dinner
The Weimar Knights of Columbus will serve a drive-thru-only chicken fried steak dinner with sides on Sunday, Dec. 13 from 10:30 a.m. until sold out at the St. Michael Catholic Church Family Center in Weimar. Cost will be $10 per plate.
