Thanksgiving Holiday
Most local businesses are closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 26. Fayette County offices and City of Schulenburg staff have holidays on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28 and 29. The Sticker is also closed on Nov. 28 and 29.
Second Chance Emporium in La Grange (drop-off area and sales store) is closed from Thursday, Nov. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 29.
Chamber of Commerce ‘Shop Local Days’ Promotion
The Schulenburg Chamber of Commerce is holding “Shop Local Days” from Friday, Nov. 27 through Friday, Dec. 18.
Entry cards are available from participating retailers. A person must spend at least $20 at five different locations and get the entry card signed at each. The card must be turned in to the Chamber office by 4 p.m. on Dec. 18 to be entered in a drawing for gift cards or cash prizes. The list of participating businesses can be found in an ad in this issue.

Weimar KCs Chicken Fried Steak Dinner
The Weimar Knights of Columbus will serve a drive-thru-only chicken fried steak dinner with sides on Sunday, Dec. 13 from 10:30 a.m. until sold out at the St. Michael Catholic Church Family Center in Weimar. Cost will be $10 per plate.
Free English Class at First Baptist Church
First Baptist Church, 110 North Upton, Schulenburg , is teaching a free English class every Tuesday starting at 6:30 p.m.
All ages are welcome. In addition, bilingual story time will be held from 7 to 7:30 p.m.
