In a hard-fought battle in Flatonia to start district play last Friday, the 18-yard kicks following touchdowns proved to be the margin of victory for the Shorthorns. While the Bulldogs missed two of those tries and got stopped on a two-point conversion run, Isaias Lara made all three of his attempts to give Schulenburg a 21-18 win.
