County unemployment rate drops to 2.3 percent in December

In December, the seasonally-adjusted Texas unemployment rate was 3.5 percent, up a tenth of a percentage point from 3.4 percent in November 2019, according to the Texas Workforce Commission. The latest figures from the TWC showed that Fayette County’s rate (not seasonally adjusted) dropped from 2.5 percent to 2.3 percent over the same time span.
