Carlos Duncan Carpenter, 78, of Moulton, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019.
Carlos was born in Bay-town on April 16, 1941, the son of Carless and Lois (Duncan) Carpenter. Carlos graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Bay-town, and later attended the University of Houston.
He married the love of his life, Patricia (Proctor) Carpenter on Sept. 2, 1960 in Baytown. Carlos and Patricia were blessed with their two daughters: Mitzi and Kim.
Carlos spent his career working as a graphic artist and photographer for Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company in Houston. After retirement, Carlos and Patricia embarked on a new adventure when they purchased their ranch property and begun raising registered cattle. Carlos lived life large. He will be remembered by many for his love of drag racing and dirt bike riding. Carlos loved the outdoors. He also always had a special place in his heart for animals, especially his faithful companion, Bud.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia; two devoted daughters, Mitzi Carpenter of Wimberley, and Kim Carpenter-Sims and his son-in-law Landon Sims of Austin; along with a host of numerous dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister-in-law, Jean Ham-mack and her husband, Carroll.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
