Daniel Neiser of Holman passed away on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019.
He was born on Jan. 31, 1929 in Holman to Frank and Martha (Mazoch) Neiser. He attended Pecan Elementary, La Grange High School and Blinn Junior College from which he attained a business degree. From 1951-53, he served as a corporal in the Korean War. He worked at M-G Poultry Plant and then the Weimar Postal Service for 32 years. After retirement, he worked as a rancher-farmer.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Janie (Karstedt) Neiser; children, Linda Besetzny and husband Mark of Schulenburg, Daniel Neiser Jr. and wife Donna of Holman, Ann Dobecka and husband Donald of Weimar, and Lori Leer and husband Dan of La Grange; brother, Frankie Neiser and wife Rosalie of Weimar; sister-in-law, Henrietta Neiser of Houston; grandchildren, Ryan Besetzny, Clayton Besetzny, Rachel Guentert and husband Case, Christopher Neiser and wife Jennifer, Nathan Neiser and wife Jenny, Justin Neiser and wife Halee, Kody Dobecka and wife Lena, Jason Dobecka, Sam Dobecka, Ashley Garza and husband Lance, Joshua Leer and wife Taylor, and Kurt Leer and wife Whitney; and great-grandchildren, Dawsyn and Paisley Guentert, Drake Neiser, Allie Neiser, Mila and Ronja Dobecka, Logan and Lincoln Garza, Blakely and Karter Leer and Lawson Leer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Neiser of Houston and grandson Kyle Besetzny.
Rosary was recited on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. at Hubbard Funeral Home in Weimar.
Mass of Christian Burial took place on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Holman, followed by interment in the church cemetery.
