Glenn Roy McNatt, 61, of Schulenburg, passed away at St. David’s South Austin Hospital on Saturday, May 23.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 6 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in High Hill, with Fr. Felix Twumasi officiating. Rosary was said at 9:30 a.m. on June 6, prior to Mass, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, led by Fr. Twumasi.

Born on Sept. 2, 1958 in Hallettsville, he was the son of Lonnie McNatt and Georgia (Kocurek) McNatt. He attended Schulenburg High School. He resided in Fayette County since childhood. He never married, and had a farming and custom baling business. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in High Hill. Glenn loved the country life and farm work. He enjoyed family time spent visiting, cooking, helping out and the regular local fishing trips. Glenn was very close to his nieces and nephews and was later proud to become a great-uncle to their children. He was often referred to as “Uncle Grandpa.”

Survivors include a sister, Shirley Hopkins and husband Steve of Schulenburg; two brothers, Stanley McNatt of Schulenburg, and Gary McNatt and wife Margie of Flatonia; five nieces and nephews; and eight greatnieces and great-nephews.

His parents preceded him in death.

Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
