Bruns, Waggoner to wed

Shawn and Shawna Bruns of Flatonia are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their son, William Shawn Bruns, to Kaci Breanne Waggonner, daughter of Joey and Susan Waggonner of Lufkin.

The future groom is a 2014 graduate of Flatonia High School and graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station with a degree in kinesiology. The prospective bride is a 2016 graduate of Lufkin High School and graduated from Texas A&M in College Station with a degree in interdisciplinary studies.

William is the grandson of Douglas and Sandra Mica of Flatonia, Harvey and Gloria Oeding of La Grange, and the late Nolan Bruns Jr. of Schulenburg.

Kaci is the granddaughter of Jany Dempsey and the late Jack Dempsey of Lufkin, Charles and Ann Colwell of Lufkin, and Doris Farrell and the late Ken Waggonner of Lufkin.

The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, Sept. 12 at The Gin at Hidalgo Falls in Navasota, officiated by Pastor Tim Rowell. After a honeymoon to Cancun, William and Kaci will reside in College Station.
