Combined CommunityAction’s “Meals on Wheels,” located in the Civic Center, serves frozen congregate meals or frozen meals to the homebound. Please call 979-743-4036 two weeks in advance for the meals, which will be delivered to the homebound or may be picked up at the center on Mondays.

McCourt Equipment Inc. of La Grange delivered 626 pounds of non-perishable food items plus a monetary cash donation over $1,000 to the Schulenburg Area Food Pantry. Over the summer, Knights of Columbus Rev. Allen Black Council 3295, headquartered at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flatonia, was busy erecting “Jesus Christ Divine Mercy” signs for Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flatonia, Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Cistern and Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Praha.
