Leona Herzik

Leona Herzik, 97, of Praha, passed away on Friday, Sept. 15, 2023.

She was born on May 29, 1926 to Charles Pilat Sr. and Annie Klekar Pilat.

Leona is survived by sons Marshall Herzik (Debbie) of Schulenburg, and Michael Herzik of Houston; daughter Marcia Truchard (Jim) of Austin; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Leona was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry Herzik, daughter Mariela Herzik Lemon, brothers Charles Pilat and Frank Pilat, and sisters Annie Migl and Della Janek.

A funeral Mass for Leona was set for Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Praha. Visitation was set for Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023 at 8:45 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Praha followed by a rosary at 9:30 a.m. Burial: St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Praha.
