Regina Lee, 98, peacefully passed away at Schulenburg Regency Nursing Center on Saturday, October 24, 2020, just 13 days shy of her 99th birthday.

She married Ernest Francis Schramek in 1938 and they resided in Schulenburg and worked side by side as owners of the Cottage Café from 1939-1955. Regina also worked at the Oakridge Smokehouse plant across the street from her home in Schulenburg, where her son Dennis Schramek still lives.

Regina had resided at Regency Nursing Center since 2011 and was loved and well taken care of by the wonderful staff there.

She is preceded in death by her granddaughter Summer Schramek (1971), her husband Ernest Schramek (1972), her brother Albert Buxkemper and his wife Hattie, and her sister Gladys Kotrla.

Survived by her son - Dennis Schramek; grandchildren April & Craig Pierson of Hallettsville, Stacy & Wesley Salyers of Houston; and great-grandchildren Emily & Michael Castillo of Hallettsville, Austin Davis of Pittsburgh, PA, and Madison Davis of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Schwenke-Baumgarten graciously handled her final arrangements.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Bugle Boy Foundation Nursing Home Program, as Regina loved the musical entertainment brought to Regency Nursing Center by the Bugle Boy.
