Shelley Renee Redding

Shelley Renee Redding, 50, of Schulenburg, passed away on Monday, Nov. 27, 2023.

Her memorial service was held on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, with Fr. Jasper Liggio and Fr. Luke Prihoda officiating and other priests from the area assisting. Inurnment was in the Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church Columbarium in Hostyn.

Rosary was said at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023 at the church, led by Fr. Prihoda.

She was born on May 6, 1973 to Glen and Octavia (Janacek) Redding. She lived in Schulenburg, where she was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and worked as administrative assistant for the church. She was also a member of Catholic Daughters Court No. 1597.

Survivors include her parents, Octavia and Glen Redding; three brothers, Darren Redding and wife Roxann of Hostyn, Brent Redding and wife Patricia of Rosenberg, and Craig Redding and wife Carol of Katy; five nieces, Maryssa McMillan and husband Jeremy, Kylie Redding, Cassie Redding, Brooke Redding and Katie Redding; five nephews, Christopher Redding, Justin Redding, Colton Redding, Travis Redding and Caden Redding; a great-nephew, Jonah McMillan; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and her fur babies, Clara Bell and Matt.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Grover and Gladys Redding, and Emil and Edna Janacek.

Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church or the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter, 240 Svoboda Lane, La Grange, TX 78945.
