Hoops tourney set for May 11

The Schulenburg Fellowship of Christian Athletes will host a five-on-five basketball tournament on Saturday, May 11 in the Schulenburg ISD new gym. It will have three divisions: Open; High School (must have high school eligibility remaining); and Junior High (includes junior high and incoming freshmen).

Lady Horns sweep doubleheader, face Charlotte in bi-district series

With 17-2 finals in both games of a doubleheader against Louise last Tuesday, the Lady Horns closed out the regular season at 6-6 in District 29-2A and 14-11 overall. Schulenburg, as the fourth-place team in 29-2A behind Shiner, Ganado, and Weimar, will face Charlotte in bi-district. The bestof- three series was scheduled for Marion High School as follows: (Game 1) Thursday, April 25 at 6:30 p.m.; (Game 2) Friday, April 26 at 8 p.m.; (Game 3, if necessary) Saturday,April 27 at noon.
