HERBERT CHARLES PAULER Herbert Charles Pauler, 87, of Schulenburg, TX passed away on Friday, Jan. 6, 2023 at Lavaca County Medical Center in Halletsville, TX.

LINDA JOYCE JURICA Linda Joyce Jurica, lovingly known as “Momo”, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023 at the age of 73, after fighting a long battle with dementia.

The youngest of 6 children, Edwin Vacek was born on March 9, 1927, west of Schulenburg to Frank Vacek and Frances Stuchly Vacek, He attended St. Rose Catholic School and Schulenburg High School. As a teenager at Schulenburg High School, he played on the football team for 3 years, and also worked at his brother’s Humble Service Station for 10 cents an hour. During visits to relatives’ houses he learned to play tarocks.

Thomas “Tommy” A. Janda, 70, of La Grange, Texas, passed away on Friday, Dec. 30, 2022.

May 2, 1942-Dec. 23, 2022 James Charles Prihoda was born to William and Mary Srubar Prihoda on May 2, 1942, in La Grange, Texas.

Linda Helen Konvicka passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022 at 5:45 a.m. at Schulenburg Regency Nursing Center. She reached the age of 93 years, 1 month, 20 days.

Charles Oran Little, 87, husband of Myrtle Marie Billeck Little, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, in Lexington, KY.

Kenneth Emanuel Schwenke, 80, of Weimar, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022, three days after his birthday, surrounded by his family, at the Hallettsville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after a nine-month stay following several falls at home. Another fall at the rehab center set him back and additional complications followed.
