As of Sept. 22, total intake at the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter stood at 1,281 for the year– 614 dogs and 667 cats in need.
As of Sept. 22, the shelter had 129 animals in its care – 84 dogs and 45 cats. This number includes animals in the facility, in foster care for medical reasons, waiting on available space, or awaiting transport to rescue partner.
