Household items donated to Food Pantry

An anonymous donor has given household items to several organizations in the Schulenburg area for distribution to those less fortunate. A total of 99 items were delivered to the Schulenburg Area Food Pantry for distribution. Food Pantry gets donation from photographer

The Schulenburg Area Food Pantry received 157 pounds of food from Sandy Kusy, a local photographer at A Thousand Words Photography, who is working on the “Front Porch Photo Project.” All proceeds from the project are donated to those less fortunate. The shelter is overwhelmed with kittens! The shelter has over 35 kittens in-house and about the same amount in foster homes waiting to come back.

Extension Office holding county-wide food drive

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office of Fayette County is organizing a county-level food drive to benefit the county’s food pantries. Food and monetary donations are being accepted throughout June.
