New Year’s Holiday
Most local businesses will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1 for New Year’s.
City of Schulenburg offices will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1. During New Year’s week, residential garbage pickup will be as follows: north side of town on Tuesday, Dec. 30 (usual day) and south side of town on Friday, Jan. 2 (a day later than usual).
Fayette County offices will also be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1 for New Year’s.
Second Chance Emporium holiday closure
Due to the holidays, Second Chance Emporium is closed through Saturday, Jan. 3 (both the donations drop-off area and sales store).
Second Chance Emporium, 841 South Reynolds, La Grange, is a resale store serving all of Fayette County.
Stevens Chapel UMC 133rd Anniversary Service
Stevens Chapel United Methodist Church will hold its 133rd Church Anniversary Service on Sunday, Jan. 25 at 3 p.m. All are welcome. Stevens Chapel UMC is located at 309 Wolters Ave.
