The Old Testament prophet Joel proclaimed a day would come in Israel when God’s Spirit would be poured out on all flesh. Sons and daughters would prophesy – preach (Joel 2:28)! There would be no distinction as to whom the Holy Spirit would gift with the privilege of sharing a word from God. This would be fulfilled soon by many women in the New Testament.
