Seven hundred years before the first Christmas, Isaiah the prophet wrote, “A child has been born for us and God has given us a Son and he will be called the Prince of Peace.” He was speaking of Jesus’ birth before it happened. At the first Christmas, angels appeared to shepherds and said, “Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace and good will toward men.” There’s that word “peace” again.
