The Schulenburg Area Food Pantry served 148 families in December with a total of 480 individuals. The Pantry had five new clients with a total of 19 individuals. The amount of food given out was 8,888 pounds. Food donated was 3,948 pounds. The volunteer hours were 336.
Anyone wishing to donate non-perishable food can leave it in the drop box located on the north side of the building or drop it off at the Pantry between 8 and 11 a.m on Thursday. Perishable items may be dropped off at the Pantry between 8 and 9 a.m. on Thursday so they can be made available that morning.
Monetary donations may be dropped off at the Pantry between 9 and 11 a.m. on Thursday or mailed to the SchulenburgArea Food Pantry, P.O. Box 146, Schulenburg, TX 78956. The Pantry is a 501c3 non-profit and all donations are tax-deductible.
