Fayette County Commissioner Drew Brossmann (right), also Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department assistant chief, came to give a fire safety lesson. He then stayed to tag-team the bingo game with Jeffery Hale from the Shiner nursing facility. They worked the packed room well and each of them brought prizes for the blackout game.
Colorado County Commissioner Ryan Brandt joined Senior Connections in Weimar for a lunch-and-learn program, then hung around a little while to call some bingo. He told about his duties in his position, including overseeing road maintenance in his precinct, filling potholes and keeping the grass mowed. He’s also responsible for maintaining the fairgrounds in Colorado County. He brought a cake that he baked himself and it was used as a bingo prize for a blackout game.
