St. Nicholas Ministry welcomes donations, referrals

The ecumenical St. Nicholas Ministry – which has helped thousands of needy individuals and families in Colorado, Fayette and Lavaca counties over its 36-year history – is accepting donations and referrals again this year.

This ministry identifies and assists those who are struggling – needy children, their families and the elderly – by providing gift boxes of food, new toys, blankets/quilts and other items during the Christmas season.

Area churches, parochial schools, public schools, businesses like Dollar General, Walmart and Brookshire Brothers, and others have placed Christmas-decorated boxes for St. Nicholas Ministry at their entrances for persons to donate non-perishable food, new toys for children, and blankets/quilts for needy families.
