Animal Shelter statistics

The Gardenia E. JanssenAnimal Shelter hours of operation are as follows: open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday for all normal operations.On Monday, the shelter is closed to the public but staff is on-site for animal care from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Funeral services for James "Jim" Miksch, age 81, of Schulenburg will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Schulenburg.Interment will follow in St. Rose Catholic Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Schulenburg American Legion Post 143.
