Tamara Otto (center), 2023 graduate of Schulenburg High School, has received a $1,000 scholarship from the American Legion Post 143 and Auxiliary. Making the presentation were Harvey Oeding (left), Otto’s grandfather, and Dennis Olsovsky (right), representing Post 143.
Otto plans to attend Texas A&M University, where she will study kinesiology and the basics of human body movement, and then apply to the nursing program. She plans to become a labor and delivery nurse in a rural community.
