Turtle Wing Foundation plans Autism Acceptance Month events, ball games

Wednesday, April 5 has been designated as Turtle Wing Day in the area to kick off Autism Acceptance Month during April. Everyone is encouraged to wear Turtle Wing gear (or green) to school and work to show support and inclusion of those friends and family diagnosed with autism.

West Navidad Wildlife Assn. scholarship forms due Fri.

The West Navidad Wildlife Association is currently taking scholarship applications for the 2023 graduation year. The application deadline is Friday, March 31. Presentation will be made at the association’s annual meeting on Saturday, May 6 at the Rockin W Barn.

FFA does well in Tarleton, Brazos County contests

The Schulenburg FFA livestock team competed in the Tarleton State University and Brazos County Youth Livestock Show contests on March 23 and 24. On Thursday, March 23, the team participated in the Tarleton livestock judging contest and placed 14th out of 276 teams.
