Fayette 4-H’ers do well at Washington Co. Livestock Judging Contest

Twenty-three Fayette County 4-H members competed in the Washington County Livestock Judging Contest on Saturday, Sept. 21 in Brenham.For the third time, the Fayette County 4-H junior team won the championship in the junior division.

St. Rose of Lima Catholic School students observed the local Legion Auxiliary, accompanied by American Legion Post 143 members, conduct the POW/ MIA ceremony recently at the school.

Blinn board OKs purchase of site in Waller-Harris Co.

At its regular meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 17, the Blinn College District board of trustees authorized the purchase of a 100-acre site in Waller-Harris County, taking a significant step toward establishing a new campus in the eastern portion of Blinn’s service area.
