Twenty-three Fayette County 4-H members competed in the Washington County Livestock Judging Contest on Saturday, Sept. 21 in Brenham.For the third time, the Fayette County 4-H junior team won the championship in the junior division.

Fayette Savings Bank (FSB) proudly presented a $2,000 check to Schulenburg ISD from its School Spirit Debit Card Program at the monthly school board meeting on Monday, Sept. 16.FSB customers who choose to have the Shorthorn debit card contribute to the program indirectly.

Blinn board OKs purchase of site in Waller-Harris Co.

At its regular meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 17, the Blinn College District board of trustees authorized the purchase of a 100-acre site in Waller-Harris County, taking a significant step toward establishing a new campus in the eastern portion of Blinn’s service area.
