Police Chief Troy Brenek reports that officers responded to 111 calls for service and 10 reportable incidents were investigated during the week of Oct. 8-14.
Included were one unlawful carrying weapon arrest, one criminal mischief, one altercation, two possessions of controlled substance arrests, one forgery, one skimmer on diesel pump, one threat, one public intoxication arrest, and one possession of controlled substance/money laundering arrest.
•Oct. 8 – Officer Powe conducted a traffic stop in the 80th block of North Kessler. After consent to search was given, 44-year-old John Russell Strait was arrested for unlawful carrying a weapon with a felony conviction. Officer Krenek responded to the 1100th block of J.A. Green on criminal mischief.
