Traffic stop on I-10 leads to drug, money laundering arrests
Cash totaling $67,695 along with cocaine, heroin and a meth pipe were confiscated during a traffic stop on I-10 near the Fayette/Gonzales County line.

Drug and money laundering arrests were made by Drug Interdiction Investigator David Smith following a traffic stop on Interstate 10 on Tuesday, April 23, according to Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek.
Sheriff Korenek reports that at around 11 a.m., Smith stopped a 2019 Buick Encore passenger car on I-10 westbound near the Fayette/Gonzales County line for a traffic violation.
