Drugs confiscated – During the arrest of a Bastrop man who tried to flee from deputies, over 6 ounces of methamphetamine and over an ounce of heroin were located in a package and other items were also confiscated.
The Fayette County Narcotics Unit attempted to stop a 2016 red Chevrolet Cruze for a traffic violation on FM 609 near Business Highway 71 in La Grange on Tuesday,Aug. 23 around 7:46 a.m. after which a pursuit ensued, according to Sheriff Keith Korenek.
