The Fayette County winter coyote control program will begin as hunters hit the deer stands on Sunday, Nov. 5 and will continue through Jan. 1, 2023.
The contests are being held to give landowners, producers and sportsmen an opportunity to assist in the control of coyotes and feral hogs in Fayette County.
Coyotes prey on livestock, which results in economic losses to agricultural producer, according to Scott Willey, Fayette County Extension agent.
