The Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) urges all Texans to stay alert and prepared during the 2026 Atlantic Hurricane Season, which begins this week and extends through Nov. 30. Texans can track potential power outages and restoration times using the PUCT’s Storm Resources webpage.

Drug arrest made during traffic stop on Highway 71 west of La Grange

A drug arrest was made following a traffic stop on Highway 71 between La Grange and Plum on Wednesday evening, May 27, according to Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek.
