Schulenburg Police Dept. sets meet-&-greet Nov. 8

The Schulenburg Police Department cordially invites everyone to join officers and staff for the SPD's annual meet-and-greet on Wednesday, Nov. 8 starting at 6 p.m. Food and drinks will be provided, along with the opportunity to mingle with the first responders.

On The Nov. 7 ballot

The statewide Constitutional Amendment Election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 7, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Fayette County ballot will include a Fayette County Special Election and voters in Schulenburg ISD and Fayetteville ISD will also have ballot items.

Winter feral hog contest to get under way Nov. 4

The Fayette County winter feral hog contest will begin on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023 and run through Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024; however, since the Fayette County Extension Office is not open on Sunday, feral hog ears will be accepted until noon on Monday, Jan. 8, 2024.

Fayette Co. recognized for participating in DRIP

Fayette County was recently recognized for its participation in the Disaster Risk Infrastructure Program for under-resourced Texas communities (DRIP), a program aimed at helping communities that experience regular flooding to be better prepared.

Coyote control contest runs Nov. 4 thru Jan. 7

The Fayette County winter coyote control program will begin on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023 and end on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024. The contest is being held to give landowners, producers and sportsmen an opportunity to assist in the control of coyotes in Fayette County.
