House OKs $4.5 billion for teacher pay raises The Texas House last Thursday passed two education-related bills, one that allocates $4.5 billion for teacher pay raises and another to increase the annual perstudent base funding from $6,160 to $6,300 – a 2.3% increase.

Fayette County Tax Assessor office moving

Fayette County dispatch received a call about a medical emergency on Tuesday, April 25, and the individual in question was the sole caretaker of an adult autistic family member with no known family or friends anywhere nearby, according to Sheriff Keith Korenek.
