P.O. participates in ‘Stamp Out Hunger’ to benefit SAFP

The Schulenburg Post Office participated in “Stamp Out Hunger” on Saturday, May 13 and recently delivered over 250 pounds of nonperishable food to the Schulenburg Area Food Pantry. “Stamp Out Hunger” is held annually by the U.S. Postal Service on the second Saturday in May.

Texas House impeaches AG Paxton The Texas House voted overwhelmingly to impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton Saturday, only the third time in the state’s history that has occurred.

Recycle Center location in Schulenburg has new hrs.

The Fayette County Recycling Center Schulenburg location has the following new hours: •Mondays and Wednesdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. •Fridays and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is hoped that adding the new Friday hours will help alleviate some of the congestion on Saturday mornings.

Sticker wins four awards in Gulf Coast Press Association ‘Better Newspaper Contest’

The Schulenburg Sticker placed in four of the seven categories it entered in the Texas Gulf Coast Press Association’s Better Newspaper Contest. Winners were announced at the TGCPA’s annual convention, held May 18-20 in Port Aransas.
