Houston area getting new 621 area code as of Jan. 23

Responding to high demand for new telephone numbers in the greater Houston area, the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) has approved an additional area code for the region.

Turtle Wing furnishes sensory bags to 1st responders

The Turtle Wing Foundation is proud to announce a new initiative aimed at fostering inclusivity and enhancing community support – the distribution of sensory bags to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department and Fayette County EMS.

Texas has over 2.9 million registered business entities

Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson announced that Texas began the year with more than 2.9 million entities actively registered with the agency to conduct business in Texas.As of Jan. 1, 2025, Texas has 2,928,688 registered business entities, which is 125,329 more than last year.

LCRA grants fund community projects
