Texas has over 2.9 million registered business entities

Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson announced that Texas began the year with more than 2.9 million entities actively registered with the agency to conduct business in Texas.As of Jan. 1, 2025, Texas has 2,928,688 registered business entities, which is 125,329 more than last year.

LCRA grants fund community projects

Sales tax allocations for Jan. total $1.1 billion

Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced on Wednesday, Jan. 8 that he was sending cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.1 billion in local sales tax allocations for January, 0.3 percent more than in January 2024.
