August sales tax allocations total $1.2 billion

Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced on Wednesday, Aug. 7 that he was sending cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.2 billion in local sales tax allocations for August, 0.3 percent less than in August 2023.
