April 2024Sheriff Keith Korenek reports these activities of Fayette County deputies for April.Sgt. Ron Naumann took a report of fraud in which a suspect called the victim and impersonated a bank employee. The victim provided the suspect with their login credentials.

May sales tax allocations issued

Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced on Wednesday, May 8 that he was sending cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.2 billion in local sales tax allocations for May, 0.4 percent more than in May 2023.

Fayette Co. Republican Women to meet May 15

Hunter safety certification class planned

Friends of the Weimar Public Library will offer a hunter safety certification class on Friday, July 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Weimar Junior High cafeteria Certification is required for hunters in Texas.Seating is limited and attendees must be registered to attend the class.
