Rural Friends/ACRE host Kitzman at meeting

State Rep. Stan Kitzman (RPattison) recently spoke at a Rural Friends/ACRE breakfast meeting hosted by Fayette Electric Cooperative. Rural Friends/ ACRE was formed with the mission of making the voice of electric co-op members heard in the Texas Legislature and U.S. Congress.

Master Gardeners to host program on pruning trees

Bluebonnet Master Gardeners have scheduled a lunch-and-learn educational program on the topic “Pruning Landscape Trees” on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at the Fayette County Agricultural Building, 255 Svoboda Lane in La Grange. Registration will be from 11:50 a.m. until 12:05 p.m.

A Moulton woman was arrested on narcotics charges following a traffic stop in the Flatonia area on Friday, Jan. 26, according to Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek.
