Verbal disturbance leads to arrest of local man by SPD

The Schulenburg Police Department responded to a report of a verbal disturbance in the 600 block of South Street on Sunday, April 7 at approximately 5:42 p.m. According to the SPD report, officers spoke with both parties at the scene and the male was found to be in violation of bond conditions because of the situation.

A group involved in the television and movie industry pitched their vision of sound stages and filming locations near Schulenburg to local officials last Wednesday.

Petition for annexation of EMS Station 4 OK’d

A voluntary annexation petition for the EMS Station 4 property to be annexed into the City of Schulenburg was approved at the Fayette County Commissioners Court meeting on Thursday, March 28. “When we first started this – to divide it into a one-acre tract (to build the new Schulenburg EMS station), there were certain stipulations – since we have a two-acre minimum,” Precinct 4 Commissioner Drew Brossmann said.
