The County auditor was authorized to publish the amended adopted budget for Fayette County by a 4-1 vote at a special meeting of the Commissioners Court on Wednesday, Sept. 2.
Also, the total tax rate of $0.43439 per $100 of valuation was set. That reflects a one-cent reduction from the previously proposed tax rate of $0.44439.
Precinct 1 Commissioner Jason McBroom opposed the motion.
