The first step to becoming part of the Texas Historical Commission’s Certified Local Government Program was taken by the Schulenburg City Council at its regular meeting Monday night, May 17.
Aldermen unanimously approved a City Historic Preservation Ordinance and Human Resources Officer Mason Florus said the next step will be to submit an application to the THC.
