The Rev. Lemae Higgs, pastor of United Evangelical Lutheran Church in Swiss Alp, is pleased to announce that the UELC will host the Schulenburg Community Good Friday Service at noon this Friday, April 2. The church’s address is 2037 FM 3171.
Pastor Higgs will preside and the Rev. J. P. Kessie, pastor of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, will deliver a sermon and the Rev. Andrew Stafford, pastor of St. James Missionary Baptist Church, will bring a special hymn.
Clergy slated to take part in lessons, prayers, and blessings include the Rev. David Thompson, pastor of First Baptist Church, along with one of the Catholic priests from St. Rose of Lima Church.
A light lunch and refreshments will be provided in the Salem Building following worship.
“We ask that you please wear a mask and practice social distancing if you have not yet completed your COVID-19 vaccinations,” Pastor Higgs said.
