The Fayette County Office of Emergency Management in conjunction with Round Top-Warrenton Fire Department, Texas Department of Emergency Management and Texas Military Division is holding COVID vaccination clinics at the Antique Fair in Warrenton from Tuesday, March 30 through Saturday, April 3 beginning at 1 p.m.
The clinic will continue as long as there are doses available, according to the press release issued on Monday, March 29.
“We will be administering the Johnson & Johnson vaccination in walk-up clinics at the Warrenton Fire Station. People 65 and older will be escorted to the front of the line and those in categories 1A, B and C will be given priority,” said Craig Moreau, Fayette County chief of emergency management.
Moreau said the emphasis of the clinic is to get “shots in as many arms as possible.”
“We know that this is a transient setting – people are coming and going from all over the state and country so the J&J vaccination is the best option to get people vaccinated. People can walk up and register – there is minimal paperwork, basically just a consent form. This allocation is in addition to our normal shot allotment for the county,” he said.
