A chase of nearly 100 miles on Thursday, March 25 ended up west of Schulenburg on Interstate 10 with a standoff between authorities and the driver, who ultimately died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to multiple news outlets, Harris County deputies responded to a call of a parked car on Westheimer Road around 3 a.m. The sleeping driver awoke, sped off, and fired shots at the officers. …
