After a presentation by Schulenburg Festival Association President Mike Zweschper, the City Council voted unanimously at last week’s meeting to grant the organization $60,000 to help with expenses for this year’s event.
The funds will come out of the City’s Hotel Occupancy Tax fund. City Administrator Tami Walker said that $55,000 had been included in the current budget for the Festival.
