Shorthorn junior Caden Herzik (left), shown with coach Jordan Hafley, finish second in singles at the Class 2A Region IV Tennis Tournament in Corpus Christi last week to earn a trip to the UIL state event May 7-8 in San Antonio. Last year, Herzik qualified for state in mixed doubles with Mikayla Otto. He was one of eight from Schulenburg High who competed at the regional tournament.
