For the third time in the last four years, the Shorthorns’ post-season aspirations were cut short by a big, physical, and skilled team from Hearne.
Coming off a loss in the Class 2A Division I state final last year, the Eagles overpowered Schulenburg for a 65-40 win in the area round last Friday in Navasota. In 2023 and 2024, Hearne eliminated the Horns in bi-district.
